As a nerdy child, Keith Furman, became obsessed with the Guinness Book of World Records. In 1979, he set his first official Guinness World Record by doing 27,000 continuous jumping jacks. (6 hrs 45 min)

For his “day job” he managed a health food store in Queens. He was also the travel manager for a spiritual meditation group.
